Job Description

RN Long-Term Acute Care- ICU (Permanent Role)

Location: Temple TX 76502
Shift: 12-hr Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive clinical assessments and identify patient and family care needs.
  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans adjusting as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Foster therapeutic relationships with patients and families through trust empathy and professionalism.
  • Educate patients families nurses and community members to empower informed healthcare decisions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and community partners to ensure cohesive patient care.
  • Delegate nursing tasks appropriately and monitor task completion.
  • Use critical thinking and evidence-based strategies to solve problems and improve patient care.
  • Ensure patient safety and efficiency in all care planning and delivery activities.
  • Participate in peer development quality improvement efforts and community service initiatives.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong clinical knowledge in nursing standards and patient care protocols.
  • In-depth understanding of nursing laws regulations and ethical principles.
  • Familiarity with hospital policies procedures and documentation practices.
  • Proficient in medical terminology medication effects and care strategies for disease management and prevention.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse individuals and teams.
  • Effective critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Basic computer skills including EMR systems Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Active and Valid RN license (Texas state).
  • BLS Certification (required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
