Job Description
We re seeking a skilled E-commerce Assistant to play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing online store operations for a growing Australian business. You ll work directly with the business owner marketing team and buyer planner to drive online growth and enhance customer experience. This role offers excellent growth potential as the company expands to multiple websites giving you the opportunity to make a real impact on a thriving e-commerce operation. With automated fulfillment systems already in place you can focus on what matters most - strategic store management product launches and driving sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate daily operations of Shopify-based online stores
- Maintain comprehensive product data listings pricing and descriptions
- Work extensively with tags and meta fields for optimal product organization and searchability
- Coordinate exciting new product launches in collaboration with the team
- Create and manage engaging content blocks and banners for homepage landing pages and promotional pages
- Support and build effective email marketing campaigns working closely with the marketing team
- Stay aligned with trading calendar for strategic promotional activities and seasonal campaigns
- Generate insightful weekly and monthly KPI reports to track business performance and growth
- Support digital marketing initiatives including meta audience creation and Google ad setup (preferred but not required)
- Provide valuable ad hoc support to business owner and team members including the buyer planner
- Assist with expansion to additional websites as the business grows
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Shopify platform and e-commerce store management
- Proven ability to manage product data pricing strategies and compelling product descriptions
- Expertise in working with tags meta fields and advanced product categorization systems
- Experience with email marketing campaigns and content management systems
- Ability to create detailed reports and analyze key performance indicators
- Digital marketing experience with meta audiences and Google ads highly valued but not essential
- Excellent organizational skills with ability to coordinate effectively across multiple team members
- Experience supporting product launches and promotional campaign activities
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with Australian-based team during business hours
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
- Enthusiasm for growth and expansion as the business scales to multiple online properties
