Our client is a company that is expanding greatly in the energy market and is one of the largest methanol producers in the world. They work on EPC projects in various parts of the world.
Overview:
We seek a highly experienced Project Controls & Analytics Lead to oversee and drive excellence across a portfolio of industrial plant projects. This leadership role will standardize streamline and optimize project control practices across all project phases ensuring data-driven decision-making and alignment with strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor the Project Controls & Analytics team providing strategic oversight and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Develop and monitor key project control metrics to ensure portfolio alignment with business goals.
- Define and implement performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate project progress and outcomes.
- Continuously review and improve existing methodologies ensuring alignment with industry standards and company frameworks.
- Harmonize project control practices and reporting structures across entities and align them with the Programme Office standards.
- Develop and manage central databases tracking project KPIs including cost productivity quality risk and change management.
- Apply project controls from early-stage planning (conceptual pre-FEED FEED) through to execution (EPC).
- Integrate innovative technologies including AI and advanced analytics to enhance data insights.
- Create and maintain dynamic dashboards and visual reports using Power BI or equivalent tools.
- Design and implement systems that integrate project management and control data across platforms.
- Ensure connectivity with ERP Primavera OPC and systems for document management QA/QC risk cost estimation and HSE.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with team leads and project managers to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Standardize structures such as WBS CBS and coding systems for consistent project tracking.
- Define methodologies for physical progress measurement and forecasting using weighted techniques.

Oversee and enhance planning scheduling and cost control workflows and tools.

Work closely with Estimating to validate project cost and schedule assumptions.
- Provide expert support to Project Execution teams with analytics reporting and project controls input.
Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls within industrial plant projects.
- Preferred sector experience: Energy Oil & Gas Petrochemicals or related industries.

Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.

Strong skills in Microsoft Office particularly Advanced Excel.

Hands-on experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI (or similar).

Willingness to travel internationally for short and mid-term assignments.
- Fluent English; additional languages (German Portuguese French) are advantageous.
- Strong analytical thinking results-driven excellent communication and collaborative mindset.
