Engineering Team Lead / Development Manager Private Equity London (Hybrid)
Im currently partnered with a leading Private Equity client in London who are looking to appoint an Engineering Team Lead / Development Manager to head up a small but high-performing engineering function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation that places technology at the heart of its business strategy.
The Role
The successful individual will lead a multi-skilled engineering team delivering modern cloud-native solutions across both data and software engineering. You will set direction provide technical leadership and play a key role in shaping the technical architecture and delivery approach. The role offers a mix of hands-on development team leadership and engagement with senior business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead mentor and grow a team of talented engineers
- Work closely with business stakeholders to shape requirements and define solutions
- Design and deliver scalable secure and business-critical applications and data solutions
- Promote best practice in DevSecOps CI/CD and cloud-native development
- Support wider technology initiatives including citizen development and innovation projects
About You
- Proven experience as an Engineering Team Lead or Development Manager ideally in financial services or a similarly fast-paced industry
- Strong hands-on coding skills in at least one modern programming language (e.g. TypeScript Python etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) modern data environments and tools such as Terraform Spark React and Snowflake
- Strong communicator comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
- A leader who values collaboration technical excellence and continuous improvement
