Engineering Team Lead / Development Manager Private Equity London (Hybrid)

Im currently partnered with a leading Private Equity client in London who are looking to appoint an Engineering Team Lead / Development Manager to head up a small but high-performing engineering function. The Role

The successful individual will lead a multi-skilled engineering team delivering modern cloud-native solutions across both data and software engineering. You will set direction provide technical leadership and play a key role in shaping the technical architecture and delivery approach. The role offers a mix of hands-on development team leadership and engagement with senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Lead mentor and grow a team of talented engineers
Work closely with business stakeholders to shape requirements and define solutions
Design and deliver scalable secure and business-critical applications and data solutions
Promote best practice in DevSecOps CI/CD and cloud-native development
Support wider technology initiatives including citizen development and innovation projects

About You

Proven experience as an Engineering Team Lead or Development Manager ideally in financial services or a similarly fast-paced industry
Strong hands-on coding skills in at least one modern programming language (e.g. TypeScript Python etc.)
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) modern data environments and tools such as Terraform Spark React and Snowflake
Strong communicator comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
A leader who values collaboration technical excellence and continuous improvement
