Position: Medical Assistant

Location: Jamestown TN
Contract Details: Full-time
Presley Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team in Jamestown TN. Our healthcare facility is committed to providing high-quality patient-centered care to the community. As a Medical Assistant you will play a vital role in helping our patients receive the best possible care.
Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care
- Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
- Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician
- Perform basic laboratory tests such as urinalysis and blood glucose monitoring
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records
- Schedule appointments and assist with patient referrals
- Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies
- Follow infection control and safety protocols
- Provide patient education and support as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Proficient computer skills including electronic medical records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
