Job Description

MSPC is seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to join its team in New York as a Direct Lending Product Specialist to facilitate marketing investment funds to Private Wealth Financial Advisors and individual investor clients. The candidate will be a part of the business development team and work closely with the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management channel as well as external private wealth distribution channels. This role would uniquely position the candidate to collaborate with the global teams and senior management of MSPC and the broader generalist intermediary sales teams within MSIM. The ideal candidate has at least 7 years of experience in investor relations/client relationship management/business development commands a strong understanding of alternative investments/private credit products and can operate both independently and in a team environment. Extensive travel will be required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the direct lending team including supporting all aspects of investor relations with Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and external private wealth distribution channels including business development and fundraising activities (idea generation tracking marketing activities and development of prospect pipelines etc.)
  • Participate in the fundraising cycle roadshow presentations marketing LP diligence sales and the closing of investor capital commitments
  • Develop a strong understanding of MSIMs Private Credit platform and MSPCs suite of funds and investment strategies
  • Support the planning preparation and implementation of various investor meetings and / or client events
  • Coordinate with and support broader finance and marketing teams in dealing with ongoing product development existing clients and prospective investors
  • Partner with the Internal Generalist Sales teams across MSIM to drive sales

  • Work closely with prospective and current clients in Private Wealth Management channels to understand their needs and deliver tailored content to support fundraising eorts and enhance client relationships
  • Cultivate relationships with Wealth Management financial advisors through highquality interactions including proactive and reactive calls emails and followups as well as inperson meetings
  • Maintain a highlevel of client service by answering inbound inquiries and working with the operations team to resolve specific investor queries
  • Utilize the CRM system to log client interactions and any prospect related activity on a daily basis
  • Liaise with internal private credit team legal and compliance and sales and marketing teams
  • Attend industry conferences and client events
  • Other ad hoc projects as

Qualifications:

  • 7 years of work experience within the financial services industry required (asset management wealth management and/or private credit experience preferred)
  • Bachelorsdegreerequire
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills ability to communicate eectively with all levels within the organization and represent the Firm in a professional manner
  • Highly organized with good commercial judgment a strong work ethic and the ability to work in a selfdirected environment while simultaneously managing competing priorities including long term projects and ad hoc requests

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $160000 and $190000 year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
