We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Coordinator to join our team at South Walker Creek Mine. Reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager this role will be responsible for oversee electrical installation maintenance and upgrade projects across our site. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations while coordinating with contractors vendors and internal teams. This role requires strong technical expertise in troubleshooting electrical systems conducting risk assessments and maintenance optimisation to support electrical asset reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate supervise and plan electrical installation and maintenance activities across site
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety standards and regulations
- Coordinate with contractors vendors and internal teams for project scope and execution
- Develop scope plan and coordinate maintenance upgrade projects
- Conduct compliance inspections risk assessments and develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies
- Troubleshoot complex electrical issues provide technical guidance and support to electrical teams
- Collaborate with maintenance engineering and operations teams to optimise electrical infrastructure planning and reliability
- Support the Electrical Engineering Manager and site project teams in planning and executing electrical projects.
- Review and manage electrical drawings project plans and technical documentation
- Implement and monitor safety protocols for electrical operations
Qualifications :
- Electrical trade qualification or Electrical Engineering degree
- Current QLD Electrical License (or ability to obtain)
- 3-5 years of experience in electrical coordination or similar role
- Strong knowledge of AS/NZS regulations electrical protection systems and HV/LV operations
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems (desirable)
- Leadership and problem-solving skills with a strong focus on safety
- Experience with technical documentation and reporting
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Current EEM qualification (desirable)
