As a result of strong business growth industry-leading product development in the biosensor business and a long-term commitment to high volume manufacturing in our Witney Centre of Excellence we have an exciting opportunity for someone to join the Operations Engineering team.
The role of the Project Engineer will focus on managing developing and performing process equipment validations for our bespoke machines used to manufacture and test our medical devices. You will provide technical project management input and become an engineering point of contact working in wider project teams. You will be able to own project tasks and deliverables responsible and committed to ensure that agreed project deliverables meet the requirements. You will manage complex capital projects with suppliers and subcontractors (including occasional site visits) collaborating with different stakeholders across the business in an inclusive and dynamic work environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a degree level education in an Engineering discipline along with proven experience in Project Engineering. You will have a thirst for problem solving an interest in automated machinery and an inquisitive mind to explore technical opportunities. As we operate in a highly-regulated industry you must be able to demonstrate the ability to follow procedures and create accurate documents and records of your addition we would look for you to share your experience with other team members acting as a role model/mentor to those you work alongside.

World Leader in Blood Glucose Monitoring Abbotts Diabetes Care business designs develops and manufactures glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings. We have a Centre of Excellence in Witney for the manufacture of electrodes and biosensors used by patients and healthcare professionals for the day-to-day management of diabetes. The Operations group is the largest team in the Witney facility producing high volumes of test strips and biosensors each year to the stringent quality standards demanded by European and US authorities and our internal quality systems.
