Reporting directly to the Desktop Services Manager. The IT Asset Analyst will be responsible for the operational and financial efficiency of our IT services. You will maintain our Configuration Management Database (CMDB) oversee asset lifecycle management manage software licensing and ensure our IT purchasing catalogue is up to date and user-focused. You will play a key role in managing our IT assets software licences and procurement processes ensuring our teams have the right tools to deliver exceptional outcomes across the organisation.
We have two (2) permanent full-time opportunities available with an immediate start. These exciting opportunities will have a strong focus on either Tactical Asset Discovery or Telco Assets. Both opportunities are available on a hybrid working arrangement and can be based in any of our Group Offices in Melbourne Brisbane or Sydney.
Key responsibilities of the role:
Asset Management
Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets
Oversee the full lifecycle of IT hardware and equipment
Track asset costs and provide insights to stakeholders
Work with vendors to ensure best-fit value-for-money devices
Manage asset tagging risk assessments and policy updates
Software License Management
Maintain a current inventory of all software licences
Conduct audits on software usage and deployments
Identify cost-saving opportunities
Manage licence allocations and compliance
Liaise with vendors regarding upcoming licence changes
Device Procurement
Collaborate with teams to understand device needs
Evaluate hardware options and collect user feedback
Maintain procurement catalogues and CMDB records
Guide users in selecting the right equipment
Service Delivery & Compliance
Coordinate delivery and receipting of IT equipment
Support Technical Support Officers in fulfilling requests
Manage IT stock levels
Lead or support process improvement projects
Ensure compliance with ethical standards licensing and workplace safety
Things that work for us:
Demonstrated experience in IT asset and software licence management
Strong knowledge of CMDBs and procurement practices
Confident working with vendors and end users alike
Ability to analyse data and report insights
Familiarity with compliance frameworks and risk mitigation strategies
ITIL Certification (v4)
Certified IT Asset Manager (CITAM)
