Job title:People Advice Manager

Salary:Circa50000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location:Homebased

Contract/Hours:6 month fixed term contract 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm)

Closing Date: 18th August 2025

About the role

Our People Advice Manager role involves leading and managing the delivery of our organisational-wide first point of contact People Advice Team. Youll ensure that advice guidance and processes related to employment legislation and our HR policies are consistently applied accurately and timely empowering our colleagues to focus on what matters most which is helping children and families thrive.

  • How youll create brighter futuresLeading an 18-member People Advice Team to deliver efficient high-performing values-driven service
  • Serve as the teams expert and escalation point driving team development ensuring accurate interpretation of employment laws HR policies and effective resolution of people-related issues
  • Overseeing the accurate processing of HR activities through Action for Childrens people systems
  • Constantly driving quality and service improvements to meet high performance standards and deliver exceptional support with Service Level Agreements
  • Representing the People Services department championing our organisational values and behaviours at every opportunity

Lets talk about you

  • A Level 5 CIPD Qualification or equivalent skills and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in managing HR or People Services teams preferably within a dynamic and high-demand environment. Experience in the Social Care sector is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to juggle competing priorities and lead a team in responding effectively and flexibly to changing organisational needs
  • Ability to select analyse and interpret data to inform and provide solutions to problems
  • Proven presentation and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with a confidence to represent our People Team across all levels of the organisation
