Job Description
Provide implanted cardiac device care to patients and their families in the Cardiac Device Clinic. The Cardiac Device Clinic provides pacemaker ICD and CRT care advanced arrhythmia interpretation and patient education.
Qualifications :
- Graduate of an accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology
- Current registration in good standing with the CSCT (Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists)
- Current BCLS certification at time of hire
- IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) Certified Cardiac Device Specialist designation obtained within 3 years of hire
- Minimum of 3 years experience with pacemakers ICDs and CRTs in a Cardiac Device Clinic setting required.
- Experience in advanced arrhythmia interpretation pacemaker care and advanced cardiac knowledge required.
- Operating Room experience is an asset.
- Excellent organizational skills and flexibility
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Problem solving abilities and critical thinking skills
- Diplomacy and public relations skills required
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a strong knowledge of policy and practice standards
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record
Additional Information :
Hours: Monday to Friday 7.5 hour shifts (hours subject to change based on operational needs of the organization)
Salary: $37.93 to $51.763 per hour
