Multimodality Technologist Cardiac CT / X-Ray
Job Summary
The Multimodality Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least two modalities with a focus on Cardiac CT and X-ray under the supervision of a Radiologist. At least 25% of responsibilities will include advanced imaging in CT. This role supports both ambulatory and hospital-based patients as ordered by physicians or licensed providers and is responsible for delivering high-quality imaging studies in accordance with established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging in at least two modalities primarily Cardiac CT and X-ray
- Operate imaging equipment and ensure proper positioning of patients
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers to deliver timely and accurate results
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation
- Adhere to safety protocols and infection control procedures
- Provide patient care and education throughout the imaging process
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Experience:
- 3 5 years of CT experience
- Less than 1 year of experience required (minimum)
Certifications & Licensure:
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer
- Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT): Licensed by the State of Texas (unless role is strictly MRI or Ultrasound)
- Must be certified in two imaging modalities by one or more of the following organizations:
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists)
- RDMS/RVT/CNMT (Various credentials through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board)
Approved Modalities Include:
- ARRT-R (Radiography)
- ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)
- ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
- ARRT-M (Mammography)
- ARRT-N (Nuclear Medicine)
- ARRT-VI (Interventional Radiology)
- ARRT-CI (Cardiac-Interventional)
- ARRT-CV (Cardiovascular-Interventional Radiography)
- ARRT-BD ARRT-BS (Bone Density Breast Sonography)
- RDMS-AB RDMS-BR RDMS-OB RDMS-FE RDMS-PS
- RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist)
- CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
- ARMRIT
