Job Summary
RN Cardiac Surgery ICU (Night Shift)
Location: Tallahassee FL 32301
Shift: 12-hr Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Job Type: Permanent
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: (Negotiable based on experience)
- Deliver direct high-quality nursing care to post-cardiac surgery patients in a critical care setting
- Monitor and assess patient status continuously and respond to changes in condition with timely interventions
- Collaborate with physicians surgeons and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications manage ventilators and provide advanced life support when necessary
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in accordance with hospital standards
- Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery
- Uphold patient safety and infection control protocols at all times
- Required:
- Minimum 1 year of ICU or PCU acute care experience
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
- NIHSS Stroke Certification (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
- Preferred:
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- CCRN certification (preferred; required within 2 years of hire)
- Licensure:
- Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
- If holding a Compact license with 3 years of RN experience application for FL license required
- If less than 3 years of experience must take and pass NCLEX in Florida before being considered
- Active Florida RN license or Compact RN license
