Job Title:Clinical Sciences Professional (Intermediate Principal Level)

Job Summary:
The Division of Endocrinology Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus School of Medicine is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE) Research Services Clinical Sciences Professional. The main emphasis of this position will be working in clinical human research focused on the areas of exercise breast cancer and the cardiovascular complications of diabetes.
This position will recruit and enroll study participants schedule participants for clinical research study visits oversee activity monitoring data collection perform data computer data entry and keep all records and data in accordance with the specific and particular protocol of each study. Strong knowledge of clinical research procedures experience working with human subjects and a background in exercise science or exercise physiology required. Additionally this position will work with the larger team on a biorepository focused on the cardiovascular complications of diabetes.
This is a one-year position with the opportunity for renewal.
Key Responsibilities:
Exercise testing
Research gym supervision.
Create and maintain study databases (REDCap) and recruitment databases containing protected health information.
Prepare and maintain study documents for institutional review boards the Clinical Translational Research Center (CTRC) and the Scientific Advisory and Review Committee (SARC).
Assisting the investigators with abstract development and submission PowerPoint presentations manuscript development and journal submission.
Work Location:
Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO.

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Intermediate Level:
Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field.
One (1) year professional clinical research or related experience.
Senior Level:
Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field.
Two (2) years professional clinical research or related experience.
Principal Level:
Bachelors degree in exercise science or related field.
Three (3) years professional clinical research or related experience.
A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year for year basis.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in science or health related field.
Four (4) years of professional clinical research or related experience.
Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems).
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
Outstanding customer service skills.
Knowledge of basic human anatomy physiology medical terminology.
Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information.
Expert level knowledge of lab specific exercise and vascular testing process function and/or technology.
Excellent computer skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as:
Intermediate Level: $52721 $67061
Senior Level: $56995 $72498
Principal Level: $65545 $83373
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level.
