Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Executive role is responsible for generating revenue by actively promoting and selling the companys logistics and transportation solutions to new and existing customers. This role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who can build long-term client relationships identify new business opportunities and contribute to strategic sales initiatives in a competitive marketplace.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned from time to time.

  • Proactively identify qualify and close new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships with existing customers through consistent communication on-site visits and strategic account management.
  • Manage a defined sales territory to ensure comprehensive market coverage and optimal customer service levels.
  • Deliver compelling sales presentations and customized proposals to decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Provide customers with up-to-date information about company offerings service changes pricing and industry developments.
  • Track personal sales metrics and KPIs and regularly review performance with leadership to drive accountability and growth.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records in the Amerijet CRM system including customer profiles activity reports opportunity pipelines and interaction histories.
  • Conduct regular account reviews with clients to identify growth opportunities and increase wallet share.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends competitor offerings and customer feedback to inform sales strategies.
  • Report competitive pricing strategies to Sales Management and Executive Leadership to support strategic positioning.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations finance customer service marketing) to ensure smooth execution of services and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in the credit evaluation process and support collections when necessary by communicating with customers and internal finance teams.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows conferences and networking events to build brand awareness and expand market presence.
  • Stay current with industry best practices emerging trends and company product knowledge through ongoing training and professional development.
  • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams regarding customer needs and market opportunities to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Other job duties assigned

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Marketing Logistics or related field preferred.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • You must have at least one year of direct sales experience. We will also consider applicants with a proven sales record and five-plus years of experience in a related field like transportation freight or logistics.

SKILLS and/or ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data negotiate effectively and close sales.
  • Proficient with CRM platforms (Salesforce HubSpot etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and organization.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. may be required.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be necessary based on customer and business needs.

TRAVEL:

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 33% of the time for customer visits meetings and trade events.
