Job Description

Austin Industrial Inc. - We seek an experienced Heavy Equipment Bundle Extractor Operator based in Houston Texas.
This position requires NCCER/NCCCO certification a valid Drivers License and a TWIC Card.
Maintenance position works 4 10-hour shifts plus occasional overtime - No per diem.

Heavy Equipment Bundle Extractor Operator

Responsible for operating a stationary or traveling crane to lift move position and reposition loads. Depresses buttons lifts levers and ensures the load is safely attached to crane before making any lift. Erect structures and move products equipment or materials to and from industrial work areas by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate Bundle Extractor under general supervision.
  • Manipulate or depress cane controls to regulate the speed and direction of crane and hoist movement according to written verbal or signal instructions.
  • Repair crane as needed.
  • Inspect the crane for safety issues daily and determine if any parts are malfunctioning.
  • Cleans maintains and lubricates equipment.
  • Complete job tickets service quality summaries and all other necessary paperwork.
  • Lift position and place machinery equipment or other large objects at construction sites and industrial facilities.
  • Place blocks and outriggers to prevent capsizing when lifting heavy loads.
  • Move levers and pedals to rotate the crane on the chassis to raise and lower the crane boom and to raise and lower the load-line.
  • Bolt boom sections together to extend or modify the boom for pile driving or high lifting.
  • Work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
  • Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines other equipment other workers and falling objects.
  • Operate the crane according to signals from the rigger.
  • Start engines move throttles switches and levers and depress pedals to operate machines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications Required for this Position:

Education:no minimum education requirements.

Certification/License: NCCER/NCCCO certification a Valid Drivers License and a TWIC Card

Experience:3years of Journeyman-level experience.
