You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Corporate Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) & Office Manager is responsible for ensuring the security of the Possessing Facility with a Top-Secret Facilities Clearance. Under the supervision of the Corporate FSO the AFSO will support the development and implementation of security policies procedures and standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations particularly the NISPOM and the Risk Management Framework for the Department of Defense. The AFSO will also serve as the Officer Manager for the corporate headquarters in Suffolk VA.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement enterprise security policies procedures and standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations particularly the NISPOM and the Risk Management Framework for the Department of Defense.
Provide support to the Program Managers by performing by implementing efforts to comply with the NISPOM and other customer program access requirements.
Maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations developing operating policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Conduct security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain and/or process confidential personnel contract or department data
Manage the facility clearance process including processing personnel security clearances maintaining clearance records and conducting periodic reinvestigations
Monitor and respond to security incidents including conducting investigations and reporting incidents to appropriate authorities.
Prepare and submit required security reports and documentation including DD Form 254 Security Classification Specification and Standard Form 312 Classified Information Nondisclosure Agreement.
Maintain liaison with government agencies to ensure compliance with security requirements and to facilitate security-related activities.
Ensure compliance with security requirements for classified contracts and subcontracts including the implementation of security measures for classified information systems.
Preparing for and hosting inspections and/or audits by Government security officials if required
Manage the physical security of the facility including access control alarm systems and video surveillance.
Manage daily office tasks and ensuring smooth workflows.
Managing office supplies and equipment including ordering and inventory.
Handle correspondence and inquiries.
Oversee maintenance and repairs of office equipment and facilities.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external communications.
Greet visitors and provide assistance.
Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance
Bachelors degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
2 Years Experience as an FSO within a Government Contractor environment.
Understands how to use the following programs: DISS/NBIS SWFT NISS and Field Print
Must be a graduate of the FSO Course (Possessing).
Experience working in a Cybersecurity Environment.
Experience with coordination and approval process of SCI requests.
Working Knowledge of the DD 254 process including pass-down development to sub-contractors.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working within a SCIF highly desirable.
Certification as a Facility Security Officer (FSO) is highly desirable
Familiar with DoD Manuals and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD) as well as specific program requirements
Experience conducting and preparing for Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) audits self-inspections and interface with auditors as needed
Prior experience with COMSEC desired
