What are we looking for
SoftPro is seeking a Scrum Master in our Raleigh NC office or as a remote employee. This is a hybrid position with a requirement to be in the office 2-3 a week. For this position you will have expert knowledge of the scrum ceremonies and practices demonstrated experience standing up new teams under an agile framework a deep commitment to servant leadership and an appetite for continuous learning coaching and training. Experience working with cloud based software as a service products is a strong differentiator for candidates for this role.

What will I do as a Scrum Master at SoftPro
- Ensures the team is adhering to Agile values and principles through facilitation coaching and modeling agile values and behaviors
- Creates a positive work environment where each person feels valued and helps team members manage their working relationships through transparent dialogue and discussion
- Demonstrates transparency inspection and adaption in everything that they do
- Ensures impediments to the team are quickly removed
- Supports the team to deliver business value by understanding the intent of features and stories
- Uses data to assess teams performance and to lead improvement activities
- Coaches the team to improve their practices productivity and self-organization
- Fosters accountability within the team to hold to standards and delivery commitments
- Supports the Product Owner in managing the product backlog and preparing for elaboration sprint planning and sprint reviews
- Facilitates the planning of sprints releases and quarterly plans
- Helps the team assess their current capabilities and develops plan to improve team practices and performance
- Work with other Scrum Masters and Product Owners/Managers to identify and resolve dependencies between the teams
- Helps the team establish meaningful sprint goals that resonate with the business
- Hands on facilitation of story writing elaboration sprint planning retrospectives.
- Recognized as a key contributor to a positive team culture
- Utilizes multiple approaches for brainstorming and innovation to keep team on continuous improvement path
What skills do I need to be successful as a Scrum Master at SoftPro
- 5 Years of experience as a scrum master working with multiple teams simultaneously
- Experience with teams developing cloud based software as a service solutions
- A Scrum Master certification from a recognized organization e.g. Scrum Alliance
- Very strong communication skills
- Knowledge and experience with Agile planning tools
- Demonstrated experience coaching mind shift and behaviors with the scrum team
