Job Description
Buffalo NY Contract Opportunity
Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Scrum Master position! This is a 6 month contract opportunity and will be hybrid in Buffalo NY. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.
What Youll Be Doing:
- Provide servant-leadership and mentorship to one cross-functional agile team using Agile principles and frameworks like Scrum Kanban and XP.
- Foster self-organization cross-functionality collaboration conflict resolution transparency and continuous improvement.
- Apply Agile practices including user stories retrospectives story mapping ATDD TDD continuous integration pairing and information radiators to help create high-performing teams.
- Encourage a culture of continuous improvement through transparency collaboration and regular retrospectives.
- Facilitate key Agile ceremonies: sprint planning stand-ups backlog refinement reviews and retrospectives.
- Address blockers and collaborate with other Agile leaders to enhance Agile effectiveness across the organization.
- Promote learning opportunities such as communities of practice conferences and training.
- Ensure compliance with risk and regulatory standards and maintain internal control standards.
What Youll Need to Have:
- Bachelors degree and 2 years of experience as a member of an Agile team including at least 1 year as a Scrum Master; or in lieu of a degree a combined 6 years of education and/or experience with at least 2 years on Agile teams and 1 year as a Scrum Master.
- Prior experience fostering team self-organization and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Agile and Lean principles and practices.
- Experience developing or managing digital capabilities.
- Understanding of Design Thinking principles.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience leading through influence.
Pay Range: $35-$57/hr
