Job Description
Position Overview:
Ipswich Middle School is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team as an 8th Grade Math Teacher. This position involves teaching Algebra and Intro to Algebra with a strong focus on student engagement critical thinking and differentiated instruction. The ideal candidate will bring creativity enthusiasm and a commitment to supporting diverse learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality math instruction in Algebra and Intro to Algebra for 8th grade students.
Implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners.
Utilize the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum (experience preferred).
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student success.
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum planning professional development and school initiatives.
Use a variety of assessment tools to evaluate student progress and inform instruction.
Maintain regular communication with students parents and staff.
Qualifications:
Current and valid Massachusetts DESE Licensure in Middle School Mathematics.
Demonstrated understanding of differentiated instruction and best practices in mathematics education.
Familiarity with or experience using the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum preferred.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
