Job Description
Join our team as a Banquet Captain/Team Lead and help create memorable guest experiences! Youll oversee set-up service and clean-up for events while leading and supporting waitstaff to ensure smooth timely service. This hands-on role includes training new team members reading Banquet Event Orders and ensuring special requestslike dietary needsare met. The ideal candidate has previous banquet or hospitality experience full-time availability (Saturday evenings required) and a passion for excellent service. This position has a starting wage of $5.23/hour plus gratuity pool averaging $28/hour.
Some of the things you are responsible for:
- Making sure all set-ups are done according to contract make sure they are running on time and that clean-up is proper and complete
- Helping train new waitstaff on the proper banquet waitstaff procedures
- Reading Banquet Event Order contracts and being aware of special items such as specific dietary needs or allergies
- Supervising and directing waitstaff for each function during busy and slow times of meal service
- Attentively serving meals and beverages to guests with courtesy and knowledge of the meal
- Ensuring the banquet is running smoothly: glasses are filled food is served and tables are cleared in a timely fashion
- Other duties as assigned
