The Director of Commercial Marketing is a hands-on builder responsible for leading and executing customer acquisition and retention strategies across 1-800-GOT-JUNKs entire commercial business - Local Regional and National. This role is ideal for a growth-minded B2B marketer with deep experience in tactical execution who thrives in entrepreneurial environments and knows how to scale marketing programs from the ground up.
This role requires deep experience in full-funnel marketingwith an emphasis on lead generation CRM strategy and lead nurturing programs. The Director will manage a lean high-impact team and will collaborate closely with our Sales Strategic Accounts and Franchise Partners. They must bring a strong understanding of CRM systems and the end-to-end lead flow process from initial acquisition through to conversion and retention. The Director will collaborate closely with the Residential Marketing team on shared digital channels to ensure integrated marketing execution.
HYBRID WORK ENVIRONMENT
Vancouver-based and Toronto-based team members work in-office every other week (TuesThurs). Core attendance is required from 9 AM 3 PM on these days to support business priorities.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Lead the development and day-to-day execution of full-funnel marketing strategies across commercial segments (e.g. Property Management Hospitality Education Retail Healthcare Construction etc.)
- Design and implement robust lead nurturing programs using CRM tools to guide prospects from initial interest to conversion
- Partner with creative team to develop targeted content strategies and personalized communication flows that address various stages of the commercial journey
- Partner with Residential Marketing team on shared paid media (e.g. SEO PPC PMAX) to ensure commercial needs are represented
- Oversee CRM-based marketing strategy and lead management workflows in partnership with Sales
- Develop and execute a strategic event and field marketing roadmap to generate qualified leads and strengthen brand presence within key verticals
- Leverage market and field insights to inform local marketing activations that drive regional growth and franchise participation
- Use a test-and-learn mindset to rapidly experiment measure and scale performance-driven marketing programs
- Monitor and optimize key marketing metrics including CAC ROAS MQL/SQL volume conversion rates and pipeline velocity
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 710 years in B2B digital/growth marketing ideally with SMB or commercial service businesses
- Proven track record of executing and optimizing performance marketing programs across multiple channels
- Experience owning campaigns hands-on (Google Ads LinkedIn Ads CRO SEO lifecycle email)
- Strong understanding of CRM platforms and experience managing lead flow across marketing and sales
- Experience in entrepreneurial or startup-like marketing environments; comfortable doing the work while managing a small team
- Strong communication analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Bonus: Experience working in franchise multi-location or distributed business models
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Salary $140-150k per annum (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education experience and internal equity.)
