Job Summary
Westgold Resources is shaping the future of gold mining in Western Australia. We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team who shares our vision of building a sustainable and profitable major Australian gold business.
Westgold Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Underground Senior Geologist to support geological operations across our Southern Goldfields sites. This full-time role plays a key part in ensuring accurate geological data resource modelling and operational support.
About the Role
Youll be responsible for overseeing mine geology activities drill scheduling grade control and geological reconciliation. The role also includes mentoring junior geology staff and contributing to budget planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee ore tracking and mine geology activities
- Manage diamond drill schedules and approvals
- Deliver resource model updates aligned with mine planning
- Provide geological reconciliation and operational advice
- Support grade control and production standards
- Assist with geological budgeting and cost optimisation
- Supervise and mentor geologists technicians and contractors
What Youll Need
- 7 years mining experience including 5 years in gold
- Strong understanding of the full mining cycle
- Technical excellence in grade control and geological modelling
- Experience with Leapfrog software
- Tertiary qualification in Geology
- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
- Manual Drivers Licence and valid National Police Clearance
- Ability to pass Westgolds pre-employment process
