Job Description: Deputy Home Manager - Residential Childcare

Position Overview:

We have current vacancies in Handsworth Selly Park Erdington Smethwick Cotteridge

Job Title: Deputy Home Manager - Residential Childcare

Job Type: Full-time

Salary:

Annual Salary: Up to 35627

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Home Manager in the overall management of the residential childcare facility.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and maintain high standards of care.
  • Mentor and support staff in their professional development and ensure effective team management.
  • Manage key performance indicators to monitor the quality of care provided.
  • Participate in budgeting and financial planning to ensure resource allocation aligns with the home s goals.
  • Implement safety principles to ensure a secure environment for children and staff.
  • Engage with children to promote their well-being and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders including social services and education providers.
  • Participate in creating and reviewing care plans tailored to individual childrens needs.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A commitment to providing exceptional care in a residential childcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of mentoring principles and experience in team management.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards pertinent to residential childcare environments.

Desired Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within residential childcare.
  • Proven track record in managing budgets and key performance indicators.
  • Experience in applying safety principles effectively within a childcare context.
