Country Manager Cameroon (Yaoundé-based) – Ag-Tech
We are hiring on behalf of our client an Ag-Tech start-up transforming the cocoa industry from the ground up. We digitally connect and scale artisanal harvesting with industrial efficiency creating higher incomes and impact across the value chain. Our R&D center in Ntui Cameroon is at the core of our missionshowcasing innovation breaking conventions and delivering outstanding results in challenging conditions.
Location: Yaoundé with regular travel to our site in N'tui
Start: As soon as possible
Type: Full-time employment or contract-based collaboration
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Country Manager to lead and grow our operations in Cameroon. You’ll work closely with our local Site Manager and Country Supply Chain Manager to scale our impact on the ground.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Leading and managing COOKO’s activities in Cameroon
Supporting business expansion and operations scaling
Drafting and reviewing contracts (HR customer and loan agreements)
Overseeing loan declarations and compliance topics
Acting as a liaison between local operations and the international team
What we’re looking for:
A strong background in economics or business management
Proven experience scaling businesses in emerging markets
Solid understanding of Cameroonian tax labor and contract law
A structured communicator who can bridge legal operational and strategic topics
Based in Yaoundé with readiness to regularly travel to N’tui
Nice to have:
Experience working in rural development agribusiness or social enterprises
We're open to hiring on a full-time basis or working with an experienced professional on a contractual basis.
