Job Description
Location: Madison WI (Remote with potential onsite 90% remote / 10% onsite as needed) Residency Requirement: Must be a Wisconsin resident or willing to relocate at own expense. Local candidates preferred. Interview Process: Onsite interviews required for local candidates Duration: Through 6/30/2026 with potential for extension
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance high-profile mainframe applications within the Child Care Child Welfare (CCCW) section.

Analyze code test and debug online and batch programs using COBOL DB2 XML and JCL.

Develop technical documentation including specifications flowcharts and diagrams.

Implement application changes enhancements and new modules with post-deployment support.

Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs and technical standards.

10 years of COBOL mainframe development experience.

10 years of hands-on experience with Structured Query Language (SQL).

Proven track record in customer service and relationship management within IT environments.

Familiarity with .NET C# and SQL Server technologies.

Experience working in public-sector or welfare-related systems is a plus.
