You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailDevelop test and optimize CNC programs for lathes mills and other CNC machines based on engineering drawings and specifications.
Interpret blueprints technical drawings and 3D models to create accurate machining instructions.
Select appropriate tools speeds feeds and cutting paths to achieve desired tolerances and surface finishes.
Perform first-off inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and quality.
Collaborate with production quality and engineering teams to streamline manufacturing processes.
Maintain and update program documentation and tool libraries for future use.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to minimize downtime and scrap.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and company quality standards.
Train operators and assist in setting up CNC machines when required.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvements and cycle time reduction.
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Technology or a related field.
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of G-code M-code and CNC machine operations.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g. Mastercam SolidCAM NX or similar).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T symbols.
Good understanding of machining processes tooling and materials.
Expertise in CNC programming for milling turning or multi-axis machines.
Knowledge of CAM software and 3D modeling.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain tight tolerances.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Basic knowledge of quality inspection tools (calipers micrometers CMM).
Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
