Position Overview
We are hiring a District Manager to oversee a portfolio of self-storage properties in Southern California focused on the San Diego market. This role is responsible for regional operations team leadership and executing strategies to drive revenue occupancy and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage 610 self-storage properties and their on-site teams
- Train and mentor site managers to meet performance goals
- Monitor occupancy rental rates delinquency and expense management
- Conduct site visits to ensure operational compliance safety and branding standards
- Collaborate with leadership on regional goals acquisitions and capital improvement projects
- Manage hiring staffing schedules and employee performance reviews
- Analyze reports and implement improvement plans for underperforming sites
Qualifications
- 5 years of multi-unit leadership in self-storage retail or similar operations
- Experience managing teams across multiple locations
- Skilled in financial analysis customer service and sales strategy
- Strong written/verbal communication and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with platforms like Yardi SiteLink or storage-specific software preferred
- Based in or near San Diego CA with willingness to travel locally
