Role Description:
Networked deal makers who identify business opportunities to achieve profitable growth and advance our Arcadis influence & impact in the city.
Reports to the Global Cities Director
Role Accountabilities:
Business Development
- Accelerate revenue growth in the city
- Influence order intake teaming & pursuit management
- Deliver profitable growth
- Create a pipeline and build a backlog
- Lead strategic pursuits in the city
Client Development
- Focus on priority clients and serve as Account Leader per GBA alignment
- Identify and develop emerging clients per GBA alignment
- Establish networks and partnerships to expand and deepen our client base
- Drive repeat business & cross-selling
- Promote client experience and build client loyalty
Brand Management & Thought Leadership
- Elevate our digital sustainability and urbanization leadership and brand
- Lead local brand recognition including reputational management
- Develop and participate in thought leadership on urban sustainability issues
- Localize global campaigns including speaking engagements with professional associations
- Engage in government affairs & media channels where appropriate
Key Shared Responsibilities:
- Together with the GBA Sales Director/Leaders to determine the priority clients emerging clients and growth strategy in the city.
- Work with GBA Sales Director/Leaders in positioning and winning strategic pursuits.
- Work with marketing to develop implement and localize brand strategies (campaigns events).
- Collaborate with Account Leaders in their city.
Qualifications & Experience:
The candidate should have:
- Proven track record in developing and implementing sales strategies to profitably grow client accounts in a city geography. Ability to lead by persuasion across GBAs thinking globally while working at the city level. Demonstrate significant leadership capability and the ability to inspire multi-disciplinary teams around a common purpose.
Further required competencies and experiences
- Ability to influence convince and partner with internal stakeholders to achieve broader collaboration and shared strategy goals.
- Strong selling/marketing capabilities and ability to understand how different sectors or industries work in order to identify target clients impacted by market drivers and position for programs/projects to drive profitable growth.
- Ability to develop a multi-pronged business plan that enables the city to grow at above-market rates over several years.
- Capable of collaborating across GBAs and sectors to effectively cross-sell and respond to market drivers.
- Balance strong internal leadership while maintaining enduring connections to the market and clients.
