The Production Planning Manager Job Overview:The Production Planning Manager will lead our multi-location scheduling team and play a key role in driving operational efficiency across the organization.

• Lead and manage the scheduling team ensuring effective workload distribution performance and coordination of day-to-day activities.
• Oversee and optimize the company-wide scheduling process using the Epicor ERP system ensuring alignment with production and delivery goals.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling-related customer interactions and internal coordination with Sales Engineering Logistics and Manufacturing departments.
• Participate in quarterly forecasting meetings and lead additional planning sessions with sales production shipping purchasing and customer service teams.
• Support strategic planning and long-term operational goals with a clear path toward leadership growth within the organization.
• Oversees/manages a team that:

1. Collaborates cross-functionally to establish schedules and allocate resources that best serve customer needs and business priorities.
2. Integrates sales orders and planning jobs into a master schedule coordinating the availability of raw materials supplies equipment and staff to meet delivery timelines.
3. Maintains and revises the master distribution schedule as needed communicating changes or delays to appropriate stakeholders.
4. Works closely with the Purchasing Department to coordinate materials and subcontracted operations ensuring timely delivery of products.
5. Monitors inventory and anticipate material needs comparing current and anticipated orders with available raw materials and initiating procurement as needed.
6. Drives continuous improvement initiatives within the scheduling function to enhance efficiency accuracy and system utilization.
7. Champions the effective use of the Epicor ERP system maintaining a deep understanding of its capabilities.

What Were Looking For:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Requires 5 years of experience in business/supply chain and operational management within a manufacturing environment preferably in a High Precision Job Shop
• Proven leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to inspire and guide teams coupled with a strong ambition to advance into higher-level management roles.
• Superior analytical skills and a knack for solving complex problems driving continuous improvement and innovation.
• Extremely proficient with production planning systems Epicor ERP experience is highly preferred
