Looking for an opportunity to learn and grow within Purolator This is your opportunity to help us deliver on our customers promises.
Relief Shift: Called in as needed for 25 hours/week (Possible shifts are: Monday: 1am to 9am Tuesday: 6am to 10:15am Wednesday to Friday: 3:15am to 9:30am)
Pay Rate: $18.72/hour
Description
The Courier/Sorter Relief is a hybrid role. The shift could be on the dock loading and unloading packages from the trucks or you could be required to work the Courier shift of delivering packages to the customers.
Called in as needed to cover shifts part-time. Does not conform to a regular schedule; weekly hours only.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver customer packages to meet daily pick-up and delivery schedules
- Load and unload trailers/trucks
- Scan packages / mail as it is received delivered or returned to the depot at the end of the day
- Resolve problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch and customers
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections using a package scanner and electronic-Driver Vehicle Inspection Report (E-DVIR)
- Unload all curbside vehicles
- Load line haul trailers to ensure all pre-scheduled departures are met
- Scanning/Cubing/Reweighing
Additional Responsibilities
Education
High School Diploma
Class 5 Drivers License
Experience
3 years of driving experience and clean drivers abstract to drive delivery vehicles.
