Job Description

Job Title: Associate Manager Configuration Management

Job Code: 25358

Job Location: Waco TX (On-Site)

Job Schedule 1st Shift 9/80

Job Description:

The Associate Manager Configuration Management will be responsible for the daily activities of a team of configuration and data management specialists. Successful candidate will act as the L3Harris technical interface to the customer for all configuration and data management activities across the site. Contributing to the achievement of departmental goals and operating plans with direct impact on the departmental results.

Essential Functions:

  • Manages experienced professionals and represents the Configuration/Data management function for the site.
  • Manages cost quality and schedule for all programs within span of control.
  • Trains and mentors team members.
  • Communicates within and outside of the organization to influence leadership to accept new practices approaches and concepts.
  • Develops or champions new concepts or technologies.
  • Manages the implementation of functional strategies and recommends operational plans that directly impact the short to mid-term function or business area results.
  • Provide direction guidance and mentoring to direct reports on requirements and job responsibilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the types of configuration control and data management skillsets.
  • Manages complex projects or processes with general oversight.
  • Communicates within and outside of own function to gain cooperation on operational processes practices and procedures.
  • Makes moderate to substantial improvements to systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with staff workload forecasting.
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office programs).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Developing monitoring analyzing and implementing change based on team operational metrics.
  • Support of business development to include estimating as well as writing of subcontractor specs and statements of work RFI/RFP responses and proposals.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with six (6) years of prior configuration and data management and/or related engineering discipline experience.
  • Graduate Degree with four (4) years of prior configuration and data management and/or related engineering discipline experience.
  • In lieu of a degree minimum of 10 years of prior configuration and data management and/or related engineering discipline experience.
  • Must have an active Secret Clearance at the time of hire.
  • Must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Teamcenter PLM.
