Job Description
GeoVisions is hiring a Field Director to lead archaeological field operations across diverse landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. This is a key leadership position in our Cultural Resource Management (CRM) team responsible for directing fieldwork ensuring data integrity and mentoring the next generation of archeologists in best-in-class field methods.
Requirements
A Bachelors degree in Anthropology (focus in Archaeology) or related field
Experience supervising crews in CRM fieldwork with demonstrated success managing complex projects
Strong working knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS Google Earth) GPS units and data collection tools
Familiarity with OR/WA SHPO databases (OARRA/WISAARD)
Experience in Pacific Northwest or Great Basin archaeology
A passion for training others sharing knowledge and leading by example A valid driver s license and flexibility for frequent regional travel and extended field assignments
