Position: Director of Communications
Location: Blairsville PA
Onsite: Onsite (hybrid is an option)
Salary plus Performance Bonus
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a Director of Communication that will report directly to the CEO. This person is the key advisor and responsible for delivering and managing all internal communication cross functioning goals and high level of executive meetings across the organization. This role is focused on internal alignment and story development for the company as it continues to grow. They will have to put forward content to enhance communication for the organization. This person will have an excellent ability in writing grasp of communication and ideally has experience with Construction or Power industry and understand Department of Energy languages.
Core Responsibilities
Act as a key point of coordination for the CEO assisting with communication flow and operational alignment across teams.
Develop executive-level communications such as company-wide announcements leadership updates internal presentations CEO remarks and materials for the Board of Directors.
Manage communications processes across leadership to ensure alignment and consistency throughout the organization.
Strategic Operations
Serve as a central resource supporting alignment of cross-departmental initiatives with broader organizational objectives.
Monitor action items and key decisions stemming from leadership meetings driving accountability and execution.
Manage select strategic initiatives or projects on behalf of the CEO.
Content Strategy & Messaging
Produce high-quality written communications including website content internal announcements leadership messaging and strategic decks.
Assist the CEO with thought leadership opportunities such as conference engagements authored articles and public profiles.
Digital Communications Oversight
Manage the maintenance and evolution of the company website to ensure alignment with organizational messaging and objectives.
Liaise with creative technical or external partners to support a consistent and professional online presence.
Collaboration & Departmental Integration
Partner with the VP of Government & Public Affairs to align internal and external communications strategies.
Collaborate with department leads to support leadership communications and ensure consistency in messaging across functions.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 7 years experience in roles focused on strategic communications internal messaging executive advisory support or Chief of Staff responsibilities.
Industry knowledge within sectors such power construction energy sectors is strongly preferred.
Outstanding abilities in writing editing and narrative development tailored for various formats and audiences.
Prior engagement with or understanding of federal agencies such as the Department of Energy (DOE) or similar energy-related government bodies is advantageous.
Proven success in managing high-level communications initiatives and cross-functional organizational priorities.
Strong skills in organization project management and critical thinking.
Proficient with digital tools for website management content publishing and communications platforms.
Preferred Background:
Bachelors or Masters degree in fields such as Communications Journalism Public Relations Public Affairs Public Administration or related disciplines.
Prior experience supporting executives in dynamic high-stakes environments particularly within mission-oriented or complex organizations.
Knowledge of communications strategies involving stakeholders in sectors like energy infrastructure or construction.
