Job Description
Due to continued growth we have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and customer-focused individual to join our team in a hybrid role that offers variety flexibility and the chance to be part of a supportive team. This is a split role where your time will be divided between Driving duties - Delivering our high-quality products to customer premises in a professional and timely manner and Branch Support - Assisting with yard operations including loading and unloading vehicles and supporting day-to-day branch activities
Therefore this role requires ultimate flexibility as we need to be agile enough to meet the demands of our customers. This role involves:
- Delivering a wide range of high-quality Civils and Drainage products to customers in Colchester and the surrounding this role you will be expected to
- Ensure efficient & safe operation of the vehicle
- Strive to complete on time delivery of orders to JDP customers
- Comply with all vehicle and drivers legislation
- Providing customers with product and service information
- Pick customer orders accurately
- Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
- Process orders accurately within a time dictated by the customer deadline
- Serve customers on the trade counter when required
- Customer interaction
Qualifications :
Essential:
- Class C Licence
- Some Driver CPC training
- Digital driving licence (tacho card)
- An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
- Detailed understanding of driver procedures driving hours rules & regulations
- Experience in efficient route planning
- Excellent communication and customer service
Required:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Literacy & Numeracy
Desirable:
- Warehouse/yard experience
- A good knowledge of computers
- Forklift truck licence
