We are seeking an Operations Coordinator to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our Sport and Recreation facilities at our new state-of-the-art Recreation Centre Hiwa. Youll play a key role in coordinating administration for facility maintenance asset management managing bookings and accounts receivable championing health and safety reporting and enhancing customer experience building strong relationships with University departments and external suppliers.
In this position youll be instrumental through your strong administrative skills to contribute to the daily operations of our Sport & Recreation Centre collaborating closely with the broader Sport and Recreation team.
This is a fixed term 37.5 hours per week on a full-time contract for 12 months (as the role supports the operations of a newly established facility the fixed term allows the team to reflect our intention to access on going staff needs as we work through our first full year of operations).

Located on Symonds Street our Sport and Recreation team is passionate about delivering exceptional services and experiences to students staff and the wider community. Youll be working alongside a collaborative and energetic group committed to promoting active wellbeing.

Youll bring at least three years experience in administration or operations coordination ideally within a fitness or recreation environment. Youre organised and confident in coordinating accounts contractors bookings and assets. Strong communication skills are essential along with a proactive attitude and along with the ability to take on complex administrative duties and adopting to new systems and software quickly delivering high quality outcomes.
Due to the nature of the role the role will require for the successful candidate to complete Police Vetting clearance checks.
