Job Description

Ergon Inc. seeks a full-time Training Partner to join our team. The Training Partner supports Ergon Learning & Development in ensuring Ergon team members possess the requisite knowledge and skills to safely and efficiently perform assigned roles. The Training Partner works closely with Ergon business segments to understand learning needs and performance gaps; then advises on and delivers training solutions to meet business needs. This includes job qualifications and training support as well as the adoption of new technology and business processes. The individual assigned to this position will track training development through delivery within either a programmatic or business training project plan. This individual will also be responsible for loading and assigning training content tracking training completion within the Learning Management System (LMS) and managing the training delivery schedule including location scheduling and supporting logistics. This role will also deliver and facilitate select learning sessions where Ergon delivery is the best value to the organization. This position is on-site in Flowood MS.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in related field preferred (E.g. Instructional Technology).
  • 2 years experience with any Ergon company or adult learning role with another company.
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook PowerPoint Word and Excel to create edit and share information.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in English.
  • A demonstrated ability to break tasks down into individual steps and organize them into a logical sequence.
  • Self-directed. The ability and desire to research a topic independently and either completing a task from that research or verifying findings with subject matter experts.
  • Customer service skills responsive attitude.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follows procedures and policies to ensure the security and integrity of systems/networks.
  • Collaborate with the Ergon Segments and Corporate Business Services organizations on LMS needs within the organization.
  • Analyzes LMS reporting data and makes recommendations to leaders technical managers or others as appropriate.
  • Creates user logins as needed and assigns user permissions.
  • Trains and monitors permissions of organizational sub-admins.
  • Manages course enrollment including progress tracking.
  • Provides troubleshooting assistance for users regarding logging in to the LMS and accessing courses.
  • Reviews and monitors system performance.
  • Publishes and archives online or blended learning solutions assigns training curricula and adds and deletes resources.
  • Works with the training developers and instructional designers to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to accessing the LMS and course content.
  • Schedules face-to-face training sessions within the LMS and updates attendance.
  • Conducts research and collaborates with subject experts to understand specific needs and requirements of various organizations to include identification of preferred and best learning styles.
  • Assists Ergon subject matter experts (SME) with developing and updating job qualification guides.
  • Reviews training feedback and learner performance to redesign and improve training as needed.
  • Delivery of FA/CPR/AED Defensive Driving and Commercial Truck Driver training as needed/funded to assigned organizations.
  • Given classroom or hands-on training material developed by others deliver material as designed in a F2F or online live environment to ensure desired training outcomes and objectives are achieved.
  • Works with business unit SMEs to review and update business unit-specific learning content managed by L&D.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations and feedback mechanisms.
  • Receives end-of-session surveys then compiles and reports data to ensure that training sessions are meeting project objectives.
  • Reviews performance data from training sessions and makes recommendations for improvement/sustainment to the training team.
