Chewy is seeking a highly motivated goal-oriented dedicated Manager Transportation Programs III to join our exciting and fast-paced Transportation team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem solving an interest in driving cross-functional initiatives and a focus on making data-driven decisions. This is a high-impact high-visibility role where you will lead a team responsible for end-to-end outbound transportation routing from strategy to execution finding ways to reduce transportation cost while improving transportation speed and reliability to our customers. What youll do:
- Lead the outbound transportation routing strategy execution and monitoring for the entire Chewy network
- Lead a team of analysts and program manager. Assist in setting appropriate prioritization for team in alignment with broader organizational goals; delegates work effectively in alignment with priorities.
- Develop strategies for how to optimize the OB transportation network for both transcost and speed to customer given warehouse and carrier constraints.
- Partner with tech and operations teams to improve our ability to implement changes monitor performance and fix issues to our transportation routing network.
- Collaborate with Finance to create OB transportation budget plans and adherence
- Support our procurement team on transportation carrier sourcing initiatives
What youll need:
- BS/BA in Supply Chain Logistics Operations Engineering or equivalent
- 6-8 years of Supply Chain/Transportation experience
- Extensive knowledge of transportation supply chain and warehouse operations
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional partners influence decisions and recommend a course of action based on data analytics
- Ability to drive process improvement by implementing checks and balances and identifying process steps that can be automated
- Detail oriented and possess superior organizational self-motivation and problem-solving skills
- Tenacity pursuing issues and strong sense of urgency to correct/improve
- Ability to think strategically big picture and connect the dots both short and long term
- Solid understanding of data analysis including advanced proficiency with Excel SQL and Tableau
- Previous managerial responsibility of a team is a plus
- Startup experience is a plus
