About Us

Rural Care Australia (RCA) is a community-owned not-for-profit organisation dedicated to delivering intergenerational services across the township of Merbein Victoria. We operate Chaffey Aged Care a 100-bed residential aged care facility and Generations Early Learning a 72-place long early years service which is one of Australias first shared site combining intergenerational learning and care services.

About the Position

Were on the lookout for an Accounts and HR Officer to join us on a permanent part-time basis. Reporting to the Manager Business Services youll play a key role in keeping our accounts processes moving!

If youre an organisation enthusiast who loves structure and problem-solving we want to hear from you! Whether youre a seasoned accounts officer an admin pro looking to expand your skills or a HR Administration Assistant seeking a change this role is for you!

We can be flexible with the ongoing days and hours of work for this position.

Heres what youll be doing:

Reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable statements and reconciliations

Independently managing initial enquiries in relation to invoices and accounts

Supporting end of month and end of year financial processes

Providing assistance with human resources administration including employee compliance documentation onboarding and offboarding

Processing payroll as needed step in to assist with payroll processing during leave cover.

About You

As our Accounts and HR Officer you will be excited to bring the following qualifications skills knowledge and experience to our team:

A qualification in business administration bookkeeping finance human resources or similar (nice to have but not essential!)

Exposure to or experience in delivering prompt administrative services in a professional environment.

Strong computer skills Microsoft Office is your jam. Experience in electronic document records management systems and rostering software will be a plus! Here we use Xero and Employment Hero

Experience in accounts and reconciliation processes

Responsive reliable and dependable in nature with a deadline-driven mindset and ability to self-manage according to key deadlines

Highly developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills

Administratively adept with a high level of accuracy when managing data and calculations

Compassionate and motivated to achieve positive outcomes within the aged care and early years industries!
