Position Summary
The Department of Computer Science at CSUF invites applications for its IT Student Assistant position. Under direct supervision of the IT staff the student assistant provides technical support for department operations labs and faculty/staff. This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support systems maintenance and troubleshooting within an academic environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide basic technical support to faculty staff and students (e.g. hardware/software troubleshooting)
- Assist in maintaining and setting up computer lab equipment printers and peripherals
- Install configure and update software and operating systems on department machines
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and equipment
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by department IT staff
Required Qualifications
- Current student at CSUF and is enrolled/registered (fees paid) in a current regular semester as a new or continuing student.
- In good academic standing and obtains at least a 3.0 or higher
- Eligible to work in the United States and can provide eligibility documents
