Our market leading client are looking for a meticulous and reliable Customs Administrator to provide essential support & manage customs admin processes. This role plays a critical part in facilitating smooth international trade operations and ensuring strict adherence to all customs regulations and requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate customs administration for both inbound and outbound shipments
- Execute technical and commercial customs-related tasks with accuracy
- Communicate with clients and carriers to resolve documentation gaps or missing information
- Maintain and update the customs broker and client databases
- Oversee management of preference documents and ensure proper control
- Complete and file TSS declarations in a timely manner
- Manage client billing processes and review supplier invoices for approval
- Support customs audits conducted by the global compliance team
- Administer and reconcile the Duty Deferment Account
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a customs-related role
- Solid understanding of UK import/export regulations and customs compliance
- Familiarity with customs documentation codes and preferential trade agreements
- Skilled in Microsoft Office particularly Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills including document management and accurate record-keeping
- Experience with billing processes and document archiving
- Analytical thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with clients and logistics partners
Required Experience:
