Job Description
As a Senior Civil Engineer youll lead municipal and infrastructure projects with a focus on transportation drainage and water resources. Youll play a key role in delivering high-quality civil engineering solutions mentoring team members and contributing to the mission of reliability and excellence.
- Develop and design road infrastructure projects including highways freeways and local roads in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical reports contract documents and project specifications.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess existing road conditions and identify potential risks and challenges.
- Analyze data to determine the most cost-effective and sustainable road design solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
- Manage the design of water resources systems including stormwater management drainage networks and water distribution systems.
- Conduct hydrological and hydraulic analysis to ensure proper water flow and management.
- Utilize software and technology to create models and simulations to aid in the design process.
- Review and approve construction plans and drawings.
- Act as a liaison between clients contractors and local authorities to ensure project compliance and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering with at least 3 years focused on road design and water resources.
- Knowledge and proficiency in software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and HEC-RAS.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent project management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Valid drivers license and ability to travel to project sites.
