Job Description

Under general supervision with wide latitude for the exercise of independent judgment performs difficult and responsible work in accounting and auditing and/or supervises a clearly differentiated accounting unit or auditing group comprising a number of staff. The Unit Chiefs responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Supervise processing of stenographic services e-discovery IMEs Investigators invoices among other categories. Supervise the processing of purchase orders and advise staff where necessary. Supervises the Incidental Litigation Expenses (ILE) matters including tracking and monitoring. Process contracts in Passport and FMS. Manage the quarterly reports of advertisements made by the agency. Participate in and review the processing of fiscal documents financial statements. Performs work using information available in various phases of the accounting systems and account relationships. Examine analyze reconcile adjust and prepare reports and correspondence affecting various accounts. Participate in and reviews audit work paper and audit reports. Participate in and review the analysis and interpretation of accounting data budgets financial statements and reports. Interpret rules and regulations methods and procedures for subordinates. Advise subordinates on procedures to be followed in unusual and exceptional cases. Assign work and evaluate the quantity and quality of work performed by the accounting staff. Reviews reports and completed assessments submitted by subordinates. In the temporary absence of supervisor may perform duties of that position. Work on special projects as needed.

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF ANALYST ( - 1002A


Qualifications :

1. A masters degree from an accredited college in economics finance accounting business or public administration human resources management management science operations research organizational behavior industrial psychology statistics personnel administration labor relations psychology sociology human resources development political science urban studies or a closely related field and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in budget administration accounting economic or financial administration or fiscal or economic research; in management or methods analysis operations research organizational research or program evaluation; in personnel or public administration recruitment position classification personnel relations employee benefits staff development employment program planning/administration labor market research economic planning social services program planning/evaluation or fiscal management; or in a related area. 18 months of this experience must have been in an executive managerial administrative or supervisory capacity. Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above; or
2. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of professional experience in the areas described in 1 above including the 18 months of executive managerial administrative or supervisory experience as described in 1 above.
