About the role
As a Support Worker with Activ you will be making a real impact in the lives of others by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. We are all about personalised and people-focused support teaming up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. We currently have a permanent part time vacancy in South Bunbury with 5 weekday shifts a fortnight. Hours range from the earliest start of 7:45am to the latest finish of 6:15pm.
You must be able to work all the available shifts and may be able to pick up additional shifts in this home and others. Please click to view the roster below:

A typical day as a Support Worker may look like:
- Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customers life goals and working to achieve them
- Joining customers in recreational activities such as swimming dancing bingo horseback riding going to the gym bowling and more
- Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation housekeeping showering and toileting medication administration and attending appointments
- Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
- Administration duties and mandatory daily reports.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) essential
- Previous experience in supporting customers with autism behaviours of concern bowel care would be beneficial plus experience with key word signing.
- Live locally in the Bunbury region
- Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation housekeeping)
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives.
- Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration.
- Proven administration and computer literacy skills.
- A valid drivers licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available).
