Job Description
JOB PURPOSE
JVM Solutions is hiring a Janitorial Onsite Supervisor to provide onsite supervision and management of janitorial services at the Doris Miller VA Medical Center Building 92 while also performing hands-on janitorial duties. Responsible for ensuring all janitorial operations meet Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) commercial standards federal regulations and contract requirements while maintaining daily operations and coordinating with Government personnel.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Perform hands-on janitorial duties including cleaning break rooms entrances/lobbies/stairwells/corridors office and training rooms restrooms and secure areas
- Operate cleaning equipment use cleaning supplies safely and perform periodic tasks
- Supervise staff and direct daily cleaning operations develop cleaning schedules conduct quality control inspections and coordinate with building personnel and Government representatives
- Prepare and submit required reports including annual cleaning schedules and monthly work reports documenting all contract activities and performance
- Respond to emergency cleaning situations according to priority level: major emergencies within 15-30 minutes medium emergencies within 1-2 hours and minor emergencies within 2-8 hours
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO OSHA EPA hazardous materials requirements and all applicable regulations
- Maintain all necessary licenses permits and authorizations required while ensuring staff comply with VA policies procedures and safety requirements
- Oversee proper use of cleaning supplies and equipment maintain facility cleanliness standards and ensure professional appearance and conduct of all personnel
- Available between 7:00 a.m. CST and 10:00 p.m. CST Sunday through Friday via phone
- Available for weekend work with 24-hour advance notice
- Must be onsite at all times when contract work is in progress
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated experience supervising and/or leading teams in all areas of commercial cleaning
- Experience with Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) commercial standards
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Must pass criminal background check.
