Job Description

Exus Renewables North Americais a next-generation Independent Power Producer that develops owns and operates renewable energy assets (Wind Solar and Battery Storage) while providing world class asset management services for over 5 GW of renewable energy assets to third parties. Exus has a proven track record of constructing and commercializing renewable energy assets and they are building their portfolio by acquiring and building utility-scale renewables projects and guiding those still in development through to full operational status.

As part of Exus asset management business the firm undertakes full technical and commercial management of renewable energy portfolios worldwide. Exus draws on its wide-ranging expertise to optimize technical performance reduce financial risk and ensure long-term revenue certainty for their own and their clients renewable energy assets.


Exus is seeking a Senior Manager Accounts Payable. The Senior Manager Accounts Payable
will be responsible for overseeing the accounts payable function. This role will lead the AP team and drive efficiency accuracy and compliance in all payables processes including but not limited to invoices payments and vendor relations. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in AP operations is systems-savvy and thrives in a fast-paced high-growth environment. This role will also play a key part in supporting financial controls vendor management and the scalability of AP operations to support expanding renewable energy assets.

Please note: this is a fully onsite role with 4 days in office 1 day remote with reasonable flexibility in our Pittsburgh office.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and manage the end-to-end accounts payable process ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices payments and reconciliations.
  2. Supervise and develop the AP team providing guidance training and performance management.
  3. Oversee the AP close process and ensure proper accruals reconciliations and reporting are completed in line with monthly close timelines.
  4. Implement and enhance internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  5. Manage vendor relationships onboarding processes and ensure proper documentation (e.g. W-9s payment terms ACH setup).
  6. Partner with Procurement Project Accounting and FP&A teams to ensure proper coding approvals and spend tracking across operating and capital projects.
  7. Drive process improvements automation and AP system optimization (e.g. Concur Tipalti NetSuite or other ERP tools).
  8. Monitor AP aging and cash flow impacts and support Treasury in forecasting outgoing payments.
  9. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and process transparency.
  10. Help design AP processes and workflows that can scale with the companys renewable asset growth.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelors degree in accounting finance or a related field
  2. 7 years of progressive AP experience including at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
  3. Experience in the renewable energy infrastructure construction or utilities sector is highly desirable
  4. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite SAP Oracle) and AP workflow tools (e.g. Concur Tipalti Coupa)
  5. Strong understanding of GAAP accounting internal controls and AP best practices
  6. Wind and/or solar energy project development renewable energy industry and partnership experience helpful.
