Help protect one of Floridas most vital resources water with a career at theSouthwest Florida Water Management District (District).
The District is a government agency whose mission is to protect water resources minimize flood risks and ensure the publics water needs are met. We serve a population of nearly 6million people in west-central Florida as directed by state law.
Support the Districts Management Services Division in helping us collect and deliver mail for District staff. Youll be part of a team that works behind the scenes to support the District and achieve our mission of protecting Floridas water resources. Youll have the chance to work with a wide range of teams in this promising position each of which plays a vital role in our efforts to preserve our most valuable natural will have the opportunity to assist with the Districts Inventory Center Print Shop and Document Imaging Team. The Mail Processing Specialist will pick up from the local Post Office daily as well as a minimum of three-day internal mail collection routes. This position will also serve as the primary back-up to the Records Management Technicianwhose primary duty includes the handling and lifting of record boxes up to 70 pounds. Using your expertise youll play an important role in enhancing the results to ensure a brighter future for the environment of Florida.

The starting salary range for the Business Process Technicianpositionreflects the minimum to 10% of the compensation. The starting salary will be based on the education and experience of the successful candidate. The District conducts annual performance evaluations that may award applicable pay increases based on positive employee performance.
This position requires the ability to be on your feet for most of the day. Working outside for extended periods of time is required each day. The position requires the ability to continuously lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds and very frequently lift up to 70 pounds. Must be able to frequently bend and reach above shoulder level; with the occasional need to squat crawl or climb. Must be able to operate an automotive vehicle for two hours or more at a time and a gas cart. Bending and twisting while lifting is a requirement to perform this job. Must be a licensed driver in good standing. Work activity will be both indoors and outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Daily trips to the local Post Office using a District vehicle is required.

Employee may be subject to call-in outside of regularly scheduled work hours or required to be on call including on nights weekends or holidays to respond to emergency management activities or other incidents requiring rapid response in support of District operations.
