Job Description

Overview:
We are working with a specialized engineering and project-based company in the marine and construction sector to hire a Commercial Executive (Contracts & Costing). This role involves managing tender submissions supporting contract negotiations liaising with internal teams and subcontractors and ensuring commercial documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while exploring new commercial opportunities.
  • Participate in daily and weekly commercial coordination meetings.
  • Manage tender submissions and ensure all Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses comply with technical commercial and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and update commercial records including Inquiry and Quotation Masterlists subcontractor databases ERP entries and shared folders.
  • Prepare internal handover documentation for awarded tenders.
  • Contribute to weekly project integration meetings and support reporting requirements.
  • Review and approve purchase/work orders initiated by supply chain teams.
  • Assist in the selection evaluation and coordination of subcontractors in collaboration with operations.
  • Support change order processes and service report preparation during the construction phase.
  • Undertake other commercial tasks as assigned by the Commercial Manager.

Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying Construction Management Business or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. MRICS PMP) are advantageous.
  • 2-4 years of commercial or quantity surveying experience in construction marine or oil & gas sectors.
  • Hands-on experience with RFQs tendering contract documentation POs and subcontractor management.
  • Solid knowledge of tendering procedures and contract negotiation fundamentals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage disputes and drive resolutions.
  • Proficiency in maintaining structured commercial data and documentation.
  • Able to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
