About the Role
As an Onboarding Specialist youll play a vital role in welcoming new team members and ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. From sending offer letters to conducting orientations and managing background checks youll be the go-to person for all things onboarding.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Send offer letters to chosen candidates using an online HRIS system
- Process 3rd party background checks as well as background studies through the Department of Human Services online NetStudy system
- Schedule start dates for new hires
- Conduct new hire orientation
- Complete Forms I-9 verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files in an online HRIS system
- Files documents in the appropriate employee files
- Enter in new employee information into the electronic HRIS system
- Communicate company and job details to the new employees
- Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
- Communicate with hiring managers about their new employee
- Update onboarding documents and resources as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned

- None
Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):
- At least two years of HR or Onboarding experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Working understanding of human resource principles practices and procedures.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of MN Statute 245G.13 preferred.
Target Compensation (Negotiable based on qualifications):
$21.00-$22.00/hour
