About the Role

As an Onboarding Specialist youll play a vital role in welcoming new team members and ensuring a smooth transition into their roles. From sending offer letters to conducting orientations and managing background checks youll be the go-to person for all things onboarding.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Send offer letters to chosen candidates using an online HRIS system
  • Process 3rd party background checks as well as background studies through the Department of Human Services online NetStudy system
  • Schedule start dates for new hires
  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Complete Forms I-9 verify I-9 documentation and maintain I-9 files in an online HRIS system
  • Files documents in the appropriate employee files
  • Enter in new employee information into the electronic HRIS system
  • Communicate company and job details to the new employees
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions
  • Communicate with hiring managers about their new employee
  • Update onboarding documents and resources as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

  • None

Required Skills & Experience (Minimum Qualifications):

  • At least two years of HR or Onboarding experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles practices and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge and understanding of MN Statute 245G.13 preferred.

Target Compensation (Negotiable based on qualifications):

$21.00-$22.00/hour
