Job Description:
An Automotive General Manageroversees all operations of an automotive dealership ensuring profitability and smooth functioning across sales service parts and business office departments.They are responsible for strategic planning team leadership performance management and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Profitability and Operations:Ensures the dealerships profitability by overseeing all departments including sales service parts and the business office.
- Strategic Planning:Develops and implements short and long-term goals and objectives for the dealership aligning them with corporate strategies.
- Leadership and Management:Leads and motivates the management team providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations and achievement of sales targets.
- Performance Management:Conducts performance evaluations sets performance standards and implements training programs to improve employee performance.
- Sales Management:Oversees sales operations develops sales strategies and motivates the sales team to meet or exceed sales goals.
- Customer Satisfaction:Monitors customer feedback addresses customer concerns and ensures a positive customer experience.
- Financial Management:Works closely with the comptroller/office manager to monitor financial performance manage budgets and ensure the dealership remains within financial guidelines.
- Compliance:Ensures all employees adhere to dealership policies procedures and relevant laws and regulations.
Required Skills:
- Leadership:Ability to motivate and inspire a team delegate tasks effectively and build a positive work environment.
- Management:Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple departments and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Sales and Marketing:Understanding of sales principles marketing strategies and customer relationship management.
- Financial Acumen:Ability to analyze financial reports manage budgets and understand key performance indicators.
- Communication:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with employees customers and corporate management.
- Problem-Solving:Ability to identify and resolve issues both operational and customer-related.
In essence the Automotive General Manager acts as the CEO of the dealership responsible for its overall success and performance
